Champs Getting there
Well it's been awhile again since I have posted about our BYD (Big Yellow Dog) Champ. He's been good, he's Champ (What else can I say). We took him to a 8-week obiedience class, he was the star of the class (Well that's my opinion). He listens good, he stays, he comes (When he wants to), but he is still just a puppy (A year and 9-months old) so were working with him. With the new baby on the way (Karen is due Oct 31st) he has to learn to really behave , but i'm confident that he will be O.K.

Champ in the year 2008
Champ is really starting to Change!
Just a quick note to say how proud I am of Champ. This weekend is the Orillia Winter Carnival at Couch park, and I knew there was going to be lots of people, so I thought what better way to put Champ to the test with what we have been working on . Champ passed with flying colors! There were all kinds of people and other dogs, and Champ just walked beside me the whole time (He put those other dogs to shame). And when we stopped to talk to a man and his grandson, they asked if they could pet him and I said yes, that he was friendly, and Champ just sat there while they petted him, he was just so awesome. Thank you Champ, you are Champ the Wonder Dog!

Champs getting older
Well since the last time Champ was featured on his own BLOG, he was fixed (I didn't know he was broken), he started obedience classes, then he stopped going now he's back to going. Karen says he's doing really well. He's been a little bugger lately bothering his brother Stan the cat, but I think Stan gonna give a good one soon.

Champs Treat
Champ is going in the VET's(I have to remember to spell it out when he's around) this friday to get well "Fixed" for lack of a better word:), so when we were out tonight I thought I better get him a treat before his big day. Once Champ gets one of these bones there's no tearing him away from it, as you can tell by the pics

Champs 1st night at school

Well This past wednesday evening we took Champ to his 1st obedience class and what a class it was. Champ has never really been around other dogs or for that matter other people, so this was a total new experience for Champ and also us. Champ was the biggest dog there and he found a new friend "Coco" a 6 month old female chocolate lab, so Champ (Who's still not fixed by the way) really wanted to be her "Friend":). Champ spent most of the Class sitting close to Karen or me, he panted alot and he was pretty wild, but all in all he was really good.
I think my favourite part of the class was when at the end we got to let all of the dogs off their leads and they got to play, Champ just had a blast(I've got a video so I'll post it in the next couple of days)
Champ had some homework for next week so Karen has been working with him on that for the last few days and he's doing amazing.

It's been awhile since i've put up any new pictures of our "Little" Puppy Champ. Hard to believe he's only a little over 6 months old. Today he was suppose to go to the vets for his 2nd set of shots but our car didn't want to start (Grrr) so it's delayed till another day (Champs barkin' out YAAA).

A Clean bill of health
Well Champ The Wonder Dog finally had his 1st trip to the Vet's today and he is very healthy and everything is A.O.K. The Doctor actually said we could cut down on his snacks a little (He's a little chubby). He weighs a whopping 58 Lbs! and next saturday he turns 6 months old, can you believe it. Missing everyone
Well i'm sittin' here on my lunch hour at work and i'm missing my Karen and Champ (Yes I am a good hubby I put my wife first) . Champ has been a real handful the last few weeks with the barking and biting, but if you see him sleeping you forget all about the bad stuff. I will get some new pics up soon.

"Wonder-Dog"
Well today, I thought would begin like every other day. Joe would come in to wake me up... HeHeHe... Our wonderdog has gone and discovered he is big enough to jump up onto the bed all by himself, so I awoke to a dog jumping on my back!
Its hard to be upset when Champster was so excited to see me wake up that he fell off the bed and peed on the floor.

Champ getting lost in the snow

Where ever Momma is...

Champs 1st Movie

Champ has visitors
Champ had some visitors today, they came by just to see him (Oh yeah they came to see Karen too). They were his Uncle Tom and Aunt Tara and his big cousins Stewart and Ethan. His Nanna Townes also stopped by.From what Karen told me thay all had a good time and really loved Champ. Champ also got some new Toys and believe it or not he actually got some Scooby Snacks! That's so cool:)

Champster is all tied up
Champ has 2 names, 1st his given name Champ(The Wonder Dog) and we also seem to call him Champster(Now looking at the name is looks like part Champ part Hamster)he seems to come to both names.
When we picked him up we also got him a collar and lesh, the collar we have been trying to get him use to, but today was the 1st time with the lesh
(You'll have to excuse the dirty work T-Shirt). He actually seemed to be going with it, which I hope he gets use to soon.

He's a really good puppy
Well
It's been an adventure the last week and a few days since we got our little wonder dog. He wakes us up in the middle of the night, he chases Stan the cat around, he chews our socks, and he likes to play outside in the middle of the night when he should be doin' his bussiness, but when he's curled up sleepin' and looking so damm cute , it's all worth it:)

Champ sure likes his nap's
Champ sure likes his nap times. When he wakes up in the morning he's ready to go, then in the evening when were sitting around he's zoncked out, he's sawing logs, he's counting sheep.

There was progress on what seemed like just another day... While Champ the wonderdog was sleeping beside me on the couch, Stanley the cat jumped up on my lap and sat for a few minutes, right beside Champ.
Then Champ woke up, Stanley ran off and Champ chased him into the bedroom.

Helpful Puppy Tips
Hi everyone
Just want to put the bug in everyone's ear, if you have any helpful tips about raising a puppy, what to do, how to train him, etc... they would be very welcomed.
Champ is having a good day, a few accidents here and there but all in all he's a happy little puppy.
I got a nice surprise when Karen and Champ showed up to pick me up from work, he was all kisses(So was my wife:))

The gloves come off
So this afternoon, Champ the wonderdog gets into the bedroom, where Stanley the cat has taken up residence. Not a big deal one would think, since Stanley has kept to the window sill, but our very own Champ found the one, and only, most prized posession belonging to Stanley... The Q-Tip.
Well, this was not witnessed, but from the yelp that came out of the bedroom, when Stanley saw Champ with the Q-Tip, The gloves came off, and Stanley must have gave Champ his first swat across the nose.
Stanley was praised and given treats, and Champ was repremanded. As difficult as it was, when the Q-Tip was in play, the line had to be drawn.
Just another day in the adventures of Champ the wonderdog.
