Champ the wonder Dog

Hey everyone, today Champ turned 9 weeks old and it's been 2 weeks since he arrived in our lives so I thought I would post a small video of him so everyone can see what all of the fuss is about.

Karen went to take Champ outside to do his bussiness around 10PM tonight and IT IS SNOWING! I went and grabbed the camera right away and started taking pics.

I can't wait to see what he'll do when we get a couple of feet.

Champ had some visitors today, they came by just to see him (Oh yeah they came to see Karen too). They were his Uncle Tom and Aunt Tara and his big cousins Stewart and Ethan. His Nanna Townes also stopped by.From what Karen told me thay all had a good time and really loved Champ. Champ also got some new Toys and believe it or not he actually got some Scooby Snacks! That's so cool:)

Champ has 2 names, 1st his given name Champ(The Wonder Dog) and we also seem to call him Champster(Now looking at the name is looks like part Champ part Hamster)he seems to come to both names.

When we picked him up we also got him a collar and lesh, the collar we have been trying to get him use to, but today was the 1st time with the lesh

(You'll have to excuse the dirty work T-Shirt). He actually seemed to be going with it, which I hope he gets use to soon.

It's been an adventure the last week and a few days since we got our little wonder dog. He wakes us up in the middle of the night, he chases Stan the cat around, he chews our socks, and he likes to play outside in the middle of the night when he should be doin' his bussiness, but when he's curled up sleepin' and looking so damm cute , it's all worth it:)

Well it's official, Champ the wonder Dog has taken over the house. He chases Stan the cat, He controls when we sleep , and now he's taken over my side of the bed:).

I guess I can always move into the cage:)

Champ sure likes his nap times. When he wakes up in the morning he's ready to go, then in the evening when were sitting around he's zoncked out, he's sawing logs, he's counting sheep.

There was progress on what seemed like just another day... While Champ the wonderdog was sleeping beside me on the couch, Stanley the cat jumped up on my lap and sat for a few minutes, right beside Champ.
Then Champ woke up, Stanley ran off and Champ chased him into the bedroom.
It was a start.

Hi everyone

Just want to put the bug in everyone's ear, if you have any helpful tips about raising a puppy, what to do, how to train him, etc... they would be very welcomed.

Champ is having a good day, a few accidents here and there but all in all he's a happy little puppy.

I got a nice surprise when Karen and Champ showed up to pick me up from work, he was all kisses(So was my wife:))

Champs Pop

So this afternoon, Champ the wonderdog gets into the bedroom, where Stanley the cat has taken up residence. Not a big deal one would think, since Stanley has kept to the window sill, but our very own Champ found the one, and only, most prized posession belonging to Stanley... The Q-Tip.
Well, this was not witnessed, but from the yelp that came out of the bedroom, when Stanley saw Champ with the Q-Tip, The gloves came off, and Stanley must have gave Champ his first swat across the nose.
Stanley was praised and given treats, and Champ was repremanded. As difficult as it was, when the Q-Tip was in play, the line had to be drawn.
Just another day in the adventures of Champ the wonderdog.

Well Champ had a pretty good day. He only had a couple of accidents and he got to meet his doggy neighbour upstairs and his Nanna Townes.I also thought I better put a sign on the door just to warn everyone about the vicious puppy that we have living here:) He pretty much Ate, Went #1 or #2 and Slept most of the day(Well I guess that's what puppies do best). I did stop by the pet store and pick him up a new toy, and I think he really likes it.

I hope he gets up soon and plays alot so he's worn out for bed time.

Well we survived Champs first night at Casa de Cornelisse. As predicted by my wifes brother she ended up sleeping on couch coushins beside Champs crate:), I think he felt alot better (so did she). 1St thing this morning when I got up I took him outside to see if he needed to "Go" and he did!. We decided it would be a good thing if we left him in his crate for an hour, so we went out for breakfast and did a couple of hours. He was crying when we left, but when we got home he was sleeping. We then took him outside for a play and now he is just exhausted. What a good puppy. And yes I have at least 100 pics or so already:)

Well after many years of saying how much I wanted a Yellow Lab , believe it or not today was the day. Karen (My beautiful and amazing wife) and I had made an appointment to go see a breeder today just to look at the puppies and see the mother and father. Well when we got there we were led into the kennels and got to see all these wondeful little puppies, some yellow and some black. Right away we each picked one up, and it was no time before we decided on our little guy, we even decided on his name before we got out of the kennel, to me he just looked like a Champ.

Champ right now is sleeping by the couch, I guess I should get him up soon to go outside and see if he can do #1 or mabey if i'm lucky #2.

Most people who have read our other Blogs "Letter's to Jack" and "Applseeed" know that over the last 8 months my wife and I have been to hell and back, I just think Champ is gonna give us that little push that we need to get back on track and enjoy life again.
